TV
So when I was offered a full-time job for next Fall (more on this soon), I decided to take the plunge and buy myself a present. First I tried Craiglist and got wrapped up in the deception and danger of online shopping and bargaining. Then I just went to Circuit City. The salesman tried to talk me up and seemed amused by my fondness for a smaller model with less features. I was amused when he took my new credit card and said "Doctor?!" I said, "that's right!" When he asked me what I studied, I should have said brain surgery just for kicks (I have no fingers, it would have shocked him further). In any event, I have my new flat screen TV all hooked up!
The Cable man came today to bring me my HD DVR. He leaned over to hook it all in and revealed the proverbial butt crack, to which my little kitty promptly introduced himself for a sniff. I began to prey he wouldn't start licking. he is known to lick everything. But alas, it was safe enough. Now I have to learn how to play with my new toy and remember to re-program all my series recordings. I seems sad to loose all that memory, but it also feels good to have a clean list, a blank slate, if you will, for the future of my TV viewing.
Any suggestions?.......

It can be a nuisance and a blessing. You get a lot of attention, awkward at times, but beneficial as well. It started at me favorite bar, Hell, back when I was more of a barfly. The place where everyone truly knew my name. The bouncer would carry me up and down the stairs and occasionally park my car when it was raining. The bartender would greet me with a smile and “red wine, Ann?” then proceed to give me a very full glass. I go to the bank and the tellers make a big deal about not needing to see my ID: “We know you, Ann”! At the CVS on the corner, the Wynnsong movie theater, and Cold Stone Creamery, I often hear “hey friend, where you been?” and “haven’t seen you in awhile, you been okay?” Lately it’s TCBY, where I frequent often. About two weeks ago, I was having a yogurt at the
